Before your appointment, the only thing you need to do is shower and wash your hair if you plan to — because after your lash lift, you’ll need to keep your lashes dry for 24 hours. That means no water, no steam, and no heat. Even a little bit of steam from the shower or kitchen can affect your results, so it’s important to plan ahead.
If you wear contacts, no worries — they’re totally fine to wear during this time. Just try not to fully saturate your lashes when inserting or removing them. When doing your skincare, be gentle around the eyes and avoid getting your lashes wet. You can wait longer than 24 hours if you’d like to play it safe, but 24 hours is the minimum drying time.
After that? You’re good to go. You can get them wet, wear makeup, and return to your usual routine. There’s nothing you have to do — but if you want to take it a step further, we always recommend using a lash growth serum to keep your lashes full and strong over time.
At Nikki Beauty, we’re all about keeping your lashes healthy — even when they don’t need extra care. One of our favorite serums is Borboleta Beauty Lash Serum — it’s safe for both lash lifts and lash extensions. You can also use any hydrating or conditioning lash serum if you want to boost softness and shine, but again — not required.
You can even wear mascara if you’d like, though you won’t feel the need to.
Just wake up and go — it really is that easy.
